Join the fun and experience a place where kids meet Jesus on their level.

Compass Kids happens during every Sunday Service experience and is from children aged 8 months all the way through 6th grade.

What is Compass Kids?

Here in Compass Kids, we aim to be an “arrow pointing north” for your child. As your child grows, they will decide for themselves what they believe. It is our goal to point them to the love of Jesus as they find their way. Every Sunday in Compass Kids, your child will experience safe, age appropriate, and interactive environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. Join the fun and experience a world where kids meet Jesus on their level!

What We Value

Safe

Safety is the precursor to everything else we want to do here in Compass Kids. Therefore, we go to great lengths to ensure every child is safe. Each child is given a PIN (Parent Identification Number) for check-in/out, every volunteer (18 & up) is screened and given a federal background check. Additionally, every hallway is monitored with security personnel, and because every child is unique, every teacher is made aware of all allergies, preferences, and special needs. We can't do what we do each Sunday without first providing kids with a safe environment to engage, learn and grow!

Clean

The environment a child walks into creates a lasting impression on both the child and parent. We strive to cultivate a clean, organized, and well-structured atmosphere because attention to detail underscores the value we see in every child.  Each one of our Compass Kids classrooms are thoroughly evaluated on a weekly basis to ensure they are both child safe as well as clean. Toys are wiped after every service and are replaced often. Storage bins are organized regularly.  We are committed to the overall health and wellness of our Compass Kids -- spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Relational

Jesus knows every child's name. We want to show kids that Jesus knows them intimately by creating a culture that allows them to be both known and loved by their peers and teachers. We are passionate about developing lasting relationships with each child who attends our program. We believe that personal connections with peers and adults alike are essential in every child's journey with Jesus.

Fun

We serve a creative God! His creation shows us He has a heart that is innovative, interactive, and fun. One thing we adults can learn from our children is to remember to be silly and joyful. In Compass Kids, we strive to create an environment that leaves kids with their eyes wide in wonder and their bellies aching with laughter, because we believe that this glorifies our God.

Check in ProCess

If you are new to Compass Kids, first of all, welcome! We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early to check your child in. Your first stop will be our check-in station. At check-in, we provide a secure system to ensure your child is safe while in our program. We make sure to enforce our check-in policy so you can view the service with confidence that your child is well taken care of. Upon arrival, you will find our welcome team members ready to greet you, hand you a coffee, and direct you to our check-in location. We can’t wait to see you!

The Aux.

The Aux is a space for all parents to care for their children while having the ability to watch service.  If you need help finding it, a team member would be happy to assist you.

Rangers Program Special Needs

Our Ranger's program aims to introduce children with a variety of special needs to Jesus and disciple them to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We accomplish this by providing curriculum that utilizes both verbal and tactile experiences as well as a classroom environment where students are able to focus and thrive. Thinking about joining us on Sunday & have a child with a special need? Feel free to complete the questionnaire below so we can determine together how to best care for your child.

Interested in Joining the CK Team?

Here are some common FAQs about serving on team.

HOW MANY TIMES A MONTH DO I HAVE TO SERVE?
We ask that you serve twice a month at one service. This generally ends up being a total of around two and a half hrs a month.

WHERE DO I SERVE?
You will have the opportunity to shadow the area within CK that interests you! We have five classrooms ranging from 8 months-6th grade, the Check-in team and our Rangers Program.

WHAT IF I DON'T KNOW ALL THE BIBLE STORIES?
You don’t have to know all the bible stories to serve in CK. We are all on a journey drawing closer to God and learning more scripture as we go. We find that we all can learn something in even the simplest lessons within CK.

WHAT IF I AM NOT PASSIONATE ABOUT SERVING WITH KIDS?
We understand that we all have different giftings! If working with kids directly in either teaching or caregiving for the babies isn’t your thing, we have other areas for you to serve. Check-In is a great opportunity to meet new families and welcome them to our church family.

WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT SERVING IN CK?
The best part of serving in Compass Kids is sowing into the next generation! There is nothing like being able to share the Love of God conveyed through the Gospel message.

Baby Dedications

“As for me and my house we will serve the Lord”  Joshua 24:15

Here at True North, we believe that Baby Dedications are less about the child but more about Parents dedicating themselves to raising their children in the ways of the Lord. Psalm 127 states that Children are like arrows and parents hold the responsibility to direct their children to a target of a Christ-centered life. Baby Dedications are not baptisms, nor do they pertain to salvation for the child. We believe children make their own decision to follow Christ when they come to an age of understanding.

We designed our Dedication Preview to help parents fully understand Baby Dedications and determine if they are ready to take this next step, you can register below.
